"Fun characters, sparkling
prose, and a twisty plot add up to a great beginning for Valentine
Inc."
--Publisher's Weekly
"Lucy is a charming and lovable enough character
to guide the reader through Webber’s unbelievably zany
but truly irresistible mix of clever romance and a wildly
inventive mystery."
--Booklist
"A delightful protagonist and a clever premise
combine to make this one of the most entertaining books I've
read in months. Lucy is someone whose
adventures you'll want to follow again and again."
--Charlaine Harris
"Lucy Valentine is as comic and romantic as
her name implies, not to mention engaging, sexy, and smart.
She has an otherworldy knack for finding lost objects, and
will undoubtedly find her creator, Heather Webber, many new
fans."
--Harley Jane Kozak

I’m a big believer in using “what-ifs” in my writing. What if I take a psychic (Lucy Valentine) and give her an ability she doesn’t quite know how to use? What kind of situations can she be thrown into? What kind of colorful characters will she meet?
What
if I take a landscape designer (Nina Quinn) and throw her into trouble?
A lot. What if she has a crazy family, ex-cons as employees, and
a confused love life?
My most recent what-if goes a little deeper than a storyline. It’s a career shift. What if I want to write paranormal mysteries that are just a little different than what I’ve been writing? Enter Heather Blake, my brand-new pen name, and Darcy Merriweather, the main character of my new series. It Takes a Witch debuts in January 2012. Click here for more info on the Wishcrafter Mystery series.
For now I’m having fun turning my what-ifs into stories. I’m currently working on a Nina Quinn novella, due out later this year. And have no fear, another Lucy Valentine is on the horizon. More details to come.
